Forming an integral part of a modern control system would typically be a PLC and associated digital touchscreens (often referred to as HMI’s). 

These would control the electrical and electronic equipment that forms part of a manufacturing or infrastructure control system.

We can integrate PLC’s and HMI’s into new or existing equipment to improve:

• Environmental factors 

• Energy efficiency 

• Logging of data 

• Maintenance and fault finding 

Our small team of engineers include some who are experienced and qualified in the use and installation of ATEX equipment. 

ATEX equipment is used where there has been identified and categorized a potential for the presence of an explosive atmosphere, which could be ignited with the discharge of electrical energy. 

Using ATEX equipment, installed and inspected by COMPEX qualified personnel will ensure the risks in the hazardous areas are managed and reduced. 

The high cost of energy these days has been a contributing factor in the increased running costs and lower profits for many industries 

These increased costs can be mitigated by: 

• Introducing LED lighting 

• Time switches, photo cells or occupancy sensors 

• Installing inverters to control motors (running at a lower speed where possible, will reduce electricity consumption) 

• Installing power factor correction can free up more capacity from a supply and depending on your tariff, lower standing charges for example 

• PLC control of a machine may make it more efficient and result in less waste product
